OK, so I had some extra time and after knocking my head on the wall and lots of sharp objects, I managed to solve the problem of having the Phaser settings expanded to 10 LEDs instead of the original 8.
And the best part is, the Farnell catalogue now has the IC I needed to light up the 1Watt Luxeon LED without having much heating problems. So, hopefully, this 1 week Chinese New Year holidays I can get most of the circuit ready before moving on to the sound effects part. But due to the lack of PIC chips and budget, I think I am going to use a second PIC Microprocessor to control the sound.
