System Installation @ Kuantan I

So, we had to go up today, to relocate a PABX from the old office to the new building. And also, we had to expand it as there were more extensions being added. The frist night was not that productive as we were planning to complete the cabling so that the next day, we can concentrate on mounting the system. Moreover, the new stocks had arrived early in the morning but it got "lost" when the movers came.

So, after a lot of discussions, we started work.
The cables were there, so we started by mounting the junction box

You mean the system was delivered this morning and
the movers have hidden them here?

The building is closed off, so we can work in peace

But then, the Generator had problems
The lights were flickering like crazy and so, we
were asked to stop work for the night

Wow. Room 404!

At last! I finally got to taste the elusive Cadbury's Bytes
Not bad at all. Its those oat pieces you eat for breakfast
but with chocolate fillings inside

Star Trek Voyager CommBadge

Oh, I need you, I want you
Can't you be mine?

The Colour Purple

First and foremost, this conversation is not true and did not take place. But for many others, the beginning and the end of the story is the same, OK?

Police: Good Morning, sir.
Driver: Er, Good Morning, Tuan
Police: Did you know you were speeding?
Driver: No, Tuan. I was not speeding.
Police: My colleagues told me you were doing a 90
Driver: Please, Tuan. My speed was 75
Police: Really? How can I believe you?
Driver: Really, Tuan. I was not speeding
Police: Please take out your Driver's License
Driver: Here you are, Tuan.
Police: Well, I have no choice but to issue you a saman
Driver: ...........
Police: Well?
Driver: Pl.. Please, Tuan, can you help me?
Police: Ah, so, how do you want to settle this?
Driver: Some purple paper?
Police: Hmmm.... Very Well, I will now pass you back your License and you know what to do
Driver: Here you go.

Police: @#$%! Are you trying to be funny?

Police: This is a very serious offense and I can charge you for other offenses!
Driver: You want purple ma
Police: Not this type of Purple! The other purple! This is your last chance!
Driver: OK, OK, here you go

Police: Ah, Thank you, Tuan, and have a nice day.
Police: Please wait and then drive off slowly

Auldey's Dangun Racer

So, when Tamiya started all this mini 4WD carze back in 1982, all the kids including myself, went nuts. The only exceprtion is that I cannot afford even one. Then in the late-90's when China broke loose, there were a lot of imitation stuff. And if you followed their progress, some of these actually went big. Take Auldey for example. Their mini 4WD was based on Tamiya's ideas. Although they did not copy the product outright, their range was so-so.

And I did not even buy one, even though I have the money now.

But this year, Auldey ventured into another series, which is similar to Tamiya's Dangun Racers. So, for half the price of a Dangun Racer, I got an Auldey (RM19.90) with free VCD as well. Later on, I will get a real Tamiya Dangun racer and I'll compare them side by side. But if you cannot wait, you can either get me one or just give me the money. Ha ha ha ha

This type of packaging is sure to attract a lot of kids
I nearly had to fight with an 8 year old for this model *ahem*

Apart from a lot of pakaging materials, you will get the toy itself,
the VCD and some pamphlet catalog

There are 12 models in all. All their Pilots dressed weird

Mine is called the Libra and in the VCD, it has no colours but a picture
of the prototype. There is "nothing" interesting to see in the VCD.
No animations
No stories
Just 30 short boring segments

Don't work too hard

This is what happens when you screw around too much

Art Asylum's Enterprise-E

This will be my first time to test out my DIY photo booth. I used Art Asylum's Enterprise-E Electronic toy which I bought few weeks ago, from Richard. I am hoping someone else would come up with the Enterprise-D, which I loved to bits after the Enterprise-A.

The toy is quite detailed but because it is a toy and not some RM10,000 collector's item, not everything was lit. My compain was the Impulse Engines were not lit, even when they dropped from warp. Not were the blue Warp coils. Maybe, when I have the time (and some money for some tools) I might want to drill some holes and add more lights. And if I happen to be nuts at that time, I might even want to control the toy via remote control. Its simple because there is only one button.

So far, the felt background is good.
This is how the packaging looked like

And heck. Now I have to spend more time untying those irritating wires
that holds the model, without scratching the paint job

The base for the model, which shaped like the Star Trek Voyager's Commbadge

OK, it looked nice when lit up but I think, if I have the time
I would have to do something about lighting up the warp coils, and the windows

Somehow, the bottom feels "bare". Maybe the paint was done like that?

Again, Art Asylum missed out painting certain parts on my model
And apart from the warp coils, the impulse engines does not light up too

The painting detail is quite nice but I hate this shot
And there is only one button, located on the bridge

The speakers are located under the main saucer

There is a cover underneath the secondary hull
It serves both as battery cover and anchor point for the base

Next to the "free" batteries, you have a switch which lets you
change from play to demo mode. In default, it was in demo mode
where when you press the button for more than 5 seconds, it will
cycle through all the sounds
And rememeber, Boys and Girls, when you're not playing with it, please
take out all the batteries or else it will go leaky leaky and destroy all the
electronics inside. Then it will become a piece of plastic junk

The JL421 Badonkadonk

This is the ultimate in Personal Armoured Transports. The JL421 from NAO Design is capable of transporting a crew of Five at the maximum speed of 40Mph. Although its not road legal, such minor detail would not be missed during post-Apocalypse where anything goes.

For USD19,999.95, you get this cute vehicle plus a free T-Shirt. And a 400Watt Sound system with PA function. If you need to know more, just make sure your Credit Card is with you......

Fuiyoh! Like Jabba The Hutt's mini Sail Barge (Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, la)

Wah, this shot dem terror wun

And at night, wah liao! Can act like a lighted up Steam Iron!

Unfortunately, due to its sheer size, it won't even scare an elephant

DIY Photo Studio Part II

OK, so I salvaged a broken table lamp, put in a Philips Energy Saving Bulb. Then I found a piece of 2x3 feet wooden board and found my black felt cloth as background. Over the next few months, I will need to search for other backgrounds butmaybe in canvas cloth.

Will try some shots tonight since Wife is not here.............. he he he

Not too bad, but need to prop the frame higher or else
my back is going to break

Bed Time

Kristine now knows when its time to go to bed
(Boy is she strong! Can't even pry her off the chair)

The 1TB Toaster

OK, when it comes to computer stuff, I am a big zero. I am so out of touch with them. So, it happened this morning when one of the IT vendors was taking out a toaster for the customer. Yes, OK, it looked like a toaster to me, OK?

It was not until I saw the packaging that it is a 1 Tera Byte storage. So, I Tera Byte means, what? A lot? Ha ha ha ha

This reminds me, I better get my Sis to get me a 60GB PHD as well as my Hard disc are running out of space to store them baby photos. And just to be sure, once my pay comes through, I might have enough to buy some blank CDRs as well. Just in case the Hard Disk got softened.

It looked like a toaster, OK?

One Tera-fying Bytes of storage

And when I looked up their website, this LaCie drive was so expensive!!!

Car troubles

No, not my car this time, even though the Air-Con is on the blink. Just got some shots of other people's car troubles

1015: Near Jinjang traffic lights in Kepong
Caused a jam there

1335: After Phileo Damansara, most probably his fuel gauge is gone

StarTrek.com.my & MySciFiFan.com.my Gathering

So, it was with great effort, I managed to fulfill yet another social outing. The gathering was held at Little Penang Cafe for dinner, and then adjourn to Cathay CineLeisure for further activities. This is one of those gathering which I enjoyed the most as we all have the same interest: Sci-Fi.

This is also a time where we get to catch up personally instead of in the Forums.
This is also a time where we toss ideas around to help each other out
This is also a time for some TWO fellas to announce their plans which is -CENSORED-
This is also the time to -CENSORED-

Ha ha ha ha! I guess you had to be there to know the secrets. But in the end, we did not go for any movies since the discussion was so engaging. (Also, my curfew was cut short. Ha ha ha)

But there is another thing which I realised. I am participating in more than one Forum and its time to make a decision. I will now decrease my posting activity to AutoWorld.com.my. Yeah, you heard it first here. Let the others catch up with me and more on. I mean, after almost 75,000 postings, it has no meaning anymore.
Align Center
Here is a small competition. Guess the correct names of each person on the
photo, their on-line nick, their IC number and also the colour of their
underwear. The first prize is a rarely washed dinner fork from my kitchen

So, tonight is 31st of May, where at Baskin Robbins, you get 31% discount
You also get to wait behind 31 people queuing up 31 minutes before you

Then I realised, tonight was some Chinese Festival, which I forgot and everyone prayed except me. Oh-Oh.

Outside Phileo I

Its 930. Where is the customer?
I am at the Ground Floor.

Wow. Busy road in front of me.

*screeeeeeeech!!!!*
My head turns
A black Honda/Camry/car braked for 12 metres

Why is he breaking?
Oh no! A bike!
An accident! Where is my camera!
In the basement carpark

OMG! A black round something rolled away from the car!
Then the car reversed 2metres, something raised up
Two legs forming a V-shape against the plastic orange divider
I can't take this
Too long to take my camera

OMG! OMG! OMG! He is dead!
More cars stopping
This is not what I want to shoot pictures at

What is this?
A man helping another to rest on the roadside!

The guard near the Ticket booth ran down
He came back up
He is not so sad

The motoryclist is alive
But his face is gone, he said
The Black car driver took him to hospital

The wrecked motorcycle is laid on the side
Useless and expensive to repair

Then my customer arrives
Life goes on

One Sunday at The Store

OK, she enjoyed TWO cups of free Ribena, ate some sample Ice Creams
while we're running here and there for stuff
Yeah, her first tantrum as well

Trip to Lumut Day Two

On our way back, I took this shot of a restaurant
Last night was too dark to take a proper photo

Restoran Kunta Kinte which opens 25 Hours
But I can tell you, there are no slaves here

It was hot, so, I just took this pass-by shot since those monkeys
were in the way
