The Last Drive together

Its time. And so, one last drive together. Savouring the revs and soaking in all the sound from the exhaust together for one last time. Its a unique exhaust because although it did give me some extra power, it was still relatively quiet compared to other exhausts. And I rememebered the shock/amazement from the exhaust pipe fella when I requested such spec. Nevertheless, finally he did come up with what I wanted. So, the exhaust would not scream itself unless you sharply press on the accelerator or something like that.

Unfortunately, when the Ah Beng streak comes on once in a while, I had problems getting that big exhaust roar to frighten all the Ah Lians. Even the cats and dogs ignored me.

The final tank of gas...
Maybe I should have out in Ron97 but that would
make me not want to give her up

I always like the shot from this angle

After inspecting the engine, etc. The new owner is
satisfied with her and that's when I said goodbye.

Later on, I was told, it got through Puspakom without any problems. And this, was done without using any runners *ahem*.

My Girlfriend and I are splitting up...

Well, it had to happen one day. So, I am preparing her for the new owner, taking my own time to clear things out. Its very sad and sentimental day for me, but it has to be done. I was my first car and we have been through a lot together, from accidents to rescuing friends to well, meeting new people. And so, now is the time for me to say goodbye...

So, lets have a last look at her. Its amazing
that despite all these years, the excellent
blue paint is still good (on non-rusted areas)

And this is the view I always get when I am inside
the Bengmobile. The meters would all be running
and responding to the throttle.

This much in 13 years speaks a lot on how tough it
was. As an Engineer servicing the
customers in all
over Malaysia, she has
really gone nearly all the
States in Malaysia
except Perlis, Sabah & Sarawak.

I loved the Bass from this Sony and so, I will
keep her as the new owner will just throw it
away.

Some leftovers from the Bengmobile. Yes, there
are some RM1.00 coins and 1 sen coins, which
by now, is obsolete and cannot be used to buy stuff.

How to eat Socially

Erm I don't even know where to start...

Two packages in one day

I am over the moon today because I got one package in the morning and for an encore, another in the afternoon! Woo hoo!

The first package was impressive. I say it's impressive
because I already know what is
inside it.

Here is a clue for you. I needed to order from them
because I could not get this particular chip from
my usual Pasar Road store

And no, it is not a Laser Printer toner cartridge

What it is, was 20 units of a particular Surface mount
chip which I am doing for Bruce's Top
Secret
I-Will-Have-to-kill-you-after-I-tell-you
Project

Its the same size as the other chip but it has more I/O
ports and also, it does not need an external crystal.
And the funny thing was, its cheaper too.

The second package came in the afternoon and nearly
made me very angry. This was because of the Ah Soh
who is the company's reporter. She picked it up and
admired the beautiful stamps. As soon as she saw my
name, she slammed onto the table. She was unlucky
because there were some witnesses. So, when it was
relayed to me, I pretended to want to speak to the
Management because someone slammed my letter
and the thing inside it broke, which costs me RM500.
Boy was she scared for the rest of the day.

Anyway, its the smallest 8Gb thumbdrive which
was not available in Malaysia. It costs slightly
more than the usual 8Gb sold here, though

But its doing what it was supposed to do and also,
it does not protrude more than 5mm. Which is what
I needed for Bengmobile II

When you have Lime

The girls were out in the garden with
Grandma today. And they have a very
productive afternoon as you can see.

So, like the they say, "When Life throws you Lemons...."
Which is fine but these are lime.

There was so much, even if they had made a lot of
lime juice drink, there was still a lot left.

So, "When Life throws you Lime, you make erm, Limeade and keep the rest in the fridge until they go bad weeks later."

Sweets from Australia

One of their favourite Aunties came last year and now, we're opening the bag of sweets she gave us. Trust me when I say, there is a difference between sweets from Australia and sweets from Malaysia. Take this one for example. Its those soft chewy types which is nice. The Australian version would be soft, chewy and they even combine the flavours and so, what you saw was not just the colours. For the Malaysian version, once you have tasted the Australian ones, it tasted like @^#$.

And so, for a brief afternoon, we ate all the
sweets, I think. If its still in the fridge, it
will still be soft and chewy. Really.

I loved the orange one best.

First class

Today was the second day for the new School Year and So, this was my last chance to go into the school and see how it was for her. As soon as she goes into the class, it was a smiles from her while the rest of the class either looked sleepy, moody or just, well, bored. Unlike other schools, I think, they do not let parents into the compound at all and I now understand why.

It was years ago, she went to her first class, crying. But now, its normal for her, as if she is enjoying it. Moreso, when she is very willing to make friends even if they do not welcome her.

You can spot her but unfortunately, I forgot to
set my Nokia 5800 camera setting back to the
higher resolution and what I got, was crap.

Trip to ICW

To cut a long story short, I was there because Bruce wanted the forklift models very badly. It was on sale in the Forums and by stroke of luck, the owner, Raymond happened to be in. And so, after making Bruce call him and securing the items needed, I went there to pick it up on his behalf. Bruce wanted to go there in the evening but was not sure how to get there nor can he really confirm his arrival with Raymond.

Do not think bad about this model
as it had won the contest. Its in
this state because (I think) they
needed to transport it from one
place to another

Or maybe not as most of the figure are in a mess

maybe it has something to do with the Core
Fighter which made an emergency landing.

Even the lift has broken down
(and yes, I helped solder the LED inside)

Have you spotted the Zaku yet?

This time, there are more models in the showcase

And more new stuff on the shelves too.

Just look at the new tools and detail parts

Back to the display shelf, there was this very different
model which caught my eye even though its not my
favourite model.

What is really unique is that it uses some very
'special' parts.

And you wouldn't believe that this is from a laser
toner cartridge.

Finally, I got the forklifts for Bruce and also
something for myself

Its a snake chain. Raymond told me its part of some
jewellery but its great as a minigun ammo belt.

Auntie Anne's

On the way home, I decided to stop by Auntie Annie's at Bangsar Village. Not sure why everyone, including my kids like them. Since I was in a hurry, I just grabbed whatever was on the shelve for the kids.

What it was, was some chocolate
coated bread sticks, methinks

It was actually very very good and
the kids loved them. So good that I
had to scrape the chocolate off until
the last spoonful. Will I buy it again?

Its damn expensive, la!!!

The Childproof Bottle

Whoever invented the childproof cap for medicine bottles really do have a sense of humour. I think the inventor do this intentionally to see the torment on his victims who are trying to open those bottles.

So, I showed them how to open the bottles, "First, press downwards and then turn the cap..."

First, it was Kaelynn's try who after
some demonstration, hit on the bottle
instead.

Then it was Kristine's turn. she did press down
the cap (and released it) but got nowhere.

In the end, frustration set in and we almost lost
the bottle. So, I had to open it for them. Even
Wife was not spared on how to open such contraption

Left to her own devices

Sometimes, it is fascinating to see how Kaelynn amuses herself when she is all alone. Unlike her sister, she will find something to do. And best of all, she does not need toys or other stuff either.

And here she is, playing with the slothes
peg. I used to play them too.

What is so interesting about clothes pegs,
you ask? Well, she is reconstructing what
I showed her from memory eventhough
its not accurate.

What she was trying to do was to copy the
clothes peg 'bomb' I made for her days ago.
You just drop them and they will 'explode'

Later, she came actross the jigsaw puzzle
which I tried to do with her last year.

This time, she can really complete the puzzle without
any help. And this is amazing because at that age, I
was still well, being naughty.

Kristine's First Day at School

Well, now its another phase into her life. Yes, Kristine is going to Primary One for 2011. And yes, time changes very fast.

My, my. Almost 7Am and she is still not fully
awake. Kaelynn on the other hand, was up
and ready, just to see her sister off eventhough
she is not supposed to be up until an hour later.

Mommy helping Kristine into her
uniform.

In my days, we do not have velcro like what
she has now.

And there she goes. Kaelynn is also following
Grandpa's car, trying to see Kristine off as
much as possible.

As usual, there would ne reports of kids crying and so on. But for Kristine, it was a normal school day for her. For the first two days, the school allowed parents in but when it was my time to take her to school days later, I could only leave her at the entrance.
