Homework

We got Kristine a study table (and hope she does not grow out of it too soon) last week. And usually, over the weekend, she would have homework assigned to her which she must complete before Monday.

I was suprised because during my time at the kindergarten, all I could ever remember was running about, bloodied my knees, sitting on school buses and the high ceilings. The word homework did not exist then.

Kristine is diligently doing her homework.
Thanks to Mr. Rotan on her left.

Yep, she is definitely a south paw

Let your daughters have a nice childhood lah...don't make them do homework at such a young age...on weekends some more...

In New Zealand school kids don't even hold a pencil/pen until they're quite old (8 to 10 I think), and they don't even have tables and chairs in the classroom. They sit on the floor and they play and sing and draw and chase after butterflies; they are encouraged to be creative, to explore, and to discover, instead of being force fed with information they don't understand and can't use yet...

Actually, Kristine loves to do "Homework". To her, its about learning the stuff, scribble all over the pages and mess up the books. But we're all having fun because we get to do things together.
