My Neslo

Every morning, if possible, I would like to have nice cup of Hot Milo. And sometimes, I would like about one and a half teaspoon of condensed milk to go along with it as well. But now, for the moment, I have a 10 packets of 3in1 vanilla flavoured coffee which I would add to the Milo. And I tell you, the whole room smell of that vanilla coffee.....

When I was young, I would just scoop the powder
into the cup, pour the hot water in and then wonder
why it took so long to destroy those floating lumps.
So now, I do the same thing except that I would go
and pour some few tablespoons of hot water into the
cup and then mix it with the powder.

Once the gooey mixture looks good, you can
start to add more hot water gradually, just
to dilute it. Here, I made the mistake of not
diluting the goo and just topped up the hot
water. Yep, I have lots of undissolved goo in
the cup.

I had to stir and stir many times until all the
goo is dissolved. If not, you'd be drinking the
hot water which tasted like very diluted Milo.

When I was about to finish the Milo, I can
see the leftover Milo on the cup. So, I had
to scrape them off and mix them with the
remaining Milo. If not, it would be wasted.

While I still had some time, I decided to
play with the weighing machine. With
everything in there, it weighed 910g.

After transferring all the Milo to my
stomach, the weight was 510g.

And after removing the spoon, the weigh
was 405g. So guess how heavy I was before
finishing the Milo?

Bye-bye fishie

Sigh. Another fish has gone bye-bye. Sigh. The funny thing was, it was alright on the night before and I did not give much thought about it except that I will change their water when I come back from work the next evening.

And then, when that evening came, I was a bit sad the condition has deteriorated into this. The only mystery is that the water has turned brownish, almost like that of a Chrysanthemum Tea. And this was Kaelynn's fish. All the while, no one fed them except me and Kristine kept saying that fish should be take care of this way and that, expecting someone else to care for it.

One day, when i am not in a good mood, I will talk to her about responsibility, with a cane, of course.

Theory: Maybe we put them side by side, one of them
kept being taunted and 'vomit blood' or committed
aquaside or fishicide.

And its not a pretty sight. And so, I left it there,
for the night as I had no mood for this and in the
next morning, it was gone.

[Update: 12.06.2010]
The fish, and the tank was left behind the kitchen and yes, its still dead. The only difference is that the water has gotten darker. By the time I threw it away, all the fragile fins and all were floating about and the body jut shrunk. Eeewww.....

Bengmobile is rusting

This morning, as I was about to get out of the car,
I noticed drops of water on the middle console. As
it rained quite heavily last night, I first began to
suspect that I did not close the car windows the
night before. But then again, the seats would have
gotten wet too. So, After searching and eliminating
all other possibilities, I looked up........

Only to see the courtesy light LEDs submerged in
water. On and off, it flickered and I thought nothing
of it. Why, just last week, I took it out and cleaned
the contacts and repositioned the LEDs again.

Well, the cover is filled with water and ......... rust!

Thank goodness the LEds are still OK. Or I
would have wasted RM25.00 for nothing.

Back to the story. Apparently, I did not look hard
enough because there are rusts everywhere. This
is a bad sign because it means the roof is in a very
bad shape. And so, I have to see how much this is
going to cost since they would be cutting the roof
out and getting a transplant for it.

So, I am suspecting, the water could be from
this hole.....

Or this hole.....

Or this hole. Or maybe, it could just be from the rubber
seals on the windscreen which we discovered and plugged
it in 2003. Stupid workers at Proton most probably start
applying the seal from the top instead of the bottom as
over time, the join would shrink and so, creates a gap for
the water to seep in. This happened to my Wife's Wira.

As for the the bonnet, it can be replaced easily. But not the roof. Lets see how things are by next week since its still school holiday. And when its sent to the workshop, I won't have a car to move about.

Forgotten FAIZ toy

While cleaning, I came across this toy which I have completely forgotten. It something to do with the Kamen Rider FAIZ series. This is a toy where you (as a brainwashed kid who got your Mommy or Daddy to buy it for you for an obscene amount of cash) strap it to the leg or something. Well, I am not going to do that since my legs are quite thick.

What I am going to do now, is to put some batteries in it and .............whee!

Oh, OK. After a few minutes of fun, I am taking another
serious look into the toy. Its actually a pair of binoculars
and I know I have posted this before. Once you slot in
your FAIZ card thingy, it transforms into some rocket
boosting thingamajic.

Voila! Sadly, the sound effects for this RM1xx.xx
toy is lacking. But that is not my problem because
I remember buying this for a fraction of the price
from Litt Tak a few years ago. Yes, its going to
come apart soon..... heh heh heh.

Anti-termite exercise

When I heard that there are termites in KK, I was not pleased at all after their first encounter which turned most of my stuff into crap. And so, this time, my plan is to protect the remaining stuff. And the only solution is to wrap them and/or keep them in plastic boxes. Unfortunately, due to budget and car space, I only managed to get three boxes. And so, for the next three hours, I collected and filtered all my stuff into the boxes, yet I wished I bought more. I also wished I have the space back home to store them as well, so that they're always right in front of me and not hidden and forgotten.

I wonder if the termites did this.....

In the meantime, the girls were downstairs
behaving themselves. Or so I thought until
I came down and sorted them out.

No wonder someone did not do bento anymore........

Weekend Dinner

And so, we get to have another dinner at the Palace. And this time, its fish. Or rather, the main course is fish. Which is fine by me but there was another surprise...

Yes! Petai! Yum yum! Petai!

After dinner, the girls were at their
hyperactive levels.

Since I did not bring my Nikon D50, I was very
happy with this almost perfect shot. The White
Balance is another matter.

Sink or Swim....

Fat floats right? But do you know that fat cannot swim?
So, its time to start exercising again and have not been
swimming since 1994. So I started off by swimming across
the lines just to warm up before swimming off the the end
of the pool. And boy, by the time I accumulated two laps,
I was about to die from exhaustion. I say accumulated and
not completed. It did not help that I know how to swim. By
the time I dragged myself out, I lost feelings on both of my
arms. And so, I am going to continue come this weekend.

Being much fuller again

OK, I think I am getting fat. When I was in the factory three months ago, I think my weight dropped to about 78kg. Three weeks ago, it was 85 with clothes and boots on. Now, its 85 with my underwear on.

For Friday, I bought a RM1.00 nasi lemak. Because
the lady packed it too fast for me to take a picture,
I took this instead, of a kitten busy eating leftovers.

Then on Saturday, since my Aunt from Australia
loves variety food, we took her to Taman Megah's
Ming Tien. So we had Oh-jean, Kuey teow, Rojak,
Apoms, deep fried stuff and jugs and jugs of fruit
juices. Then there is the DBKL duty for the both
of us.......uwekkk........

Then on Sunday, we ate at Jalan Gasing's Ipoh
Chicken rice. I must say, quality has gone down
South nowadays. Even the new waiters ignored
us.

Most probably because they could be
concentrating on Mid-Valley's new
branch or something. Even Kaelynn
was not impressed with her drink.

Why? Because this is what it was supposed
to look like. So, the plastic glass and a big
straw really potong stim. And as usual,
they kidnapped my 7-Up instead.

And although the Curry Kuey Teow was silky
soft, I did not enjoy it as they absorbed the
curry faster than I can spoon them into my
mouth.

Yeah, I think I have to start exercising again, and this time, really cut down on the things I eat since being thin is quite enjoyable, as I get to walk faster and all. But then, I have to find a cobbler to put more holes in the belt as its very easy to *ahem* fall off. But now, thanks to my fattiness, its different. Then again, as far as I can remember, I never did have a waist........

Dear God

Letter to God

There was a man who worked for the Post Office whose job was to process all the mail that had illegible addresses.

One day, a letter came addressed in a shaky handwriting to God with no actual address.

He thought he should open it to see what it was about.

The letter read:

Dear God,

I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension.

Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had $100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension payment..

Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with, have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me?

Sincerely,
Edna

The postal worker was touched.. He showed the letter to all the other workers.

Each one dug into his or her wallet and came up with a few dollars.

By the time he made the rounds, he had collected $96, which they put into an envelope and sent to the woman.

The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of Edna and the dinner she would be able to share with her friends.

Christmas came and went.

A few days later, another letter came from the same old lady to God.

All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened.

It read:

Dear God,

How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me?

Because of your gift of love, I was able to fix a glorious dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day and I told my friends of your wonderful gift.

By the way, there was $4 missing.

I think it might have been those bastards at the post office.

Sincerely,
Edna

Kristine the Artist

This is Kristine. See Kristine
using my Pentel Ergonomix

She is drawing.

See her draw.

And what did she drew?

Yep, her yellow Weenie the Pooh with chest hairs
(I'll bet this would fetch 10 sen at the auctions)

Breath Freshener

Guess what?

I love onions

Oh, yes, I really do!

And here's some I 'stole' earlier when my Mom's not looking in the kitchen

Oh, OK, this was my third attempt.

Nom... nom... nom...

Oh-oh. Now my breath is stinky!

Me Wifey no likee

So, after a few sprays, everything is alright again

I bought it not because it has a free teeth whitener free gift but because of the design of the spray. Its thin, has 1.5cm diameter and would not look out of place in a Sci-Fi prop with its blue liquid once you tear off the labels.

OK.

So I lied.

I did not use the breath freshener

Now my Wife is sleeping 20 feet away from me...

Two pakcages in one day

Two packages arrived today. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. Yeah, it made my day.

This is a very big bag. If you have bought chickens from
Ayamas, you know how 'big' the bag is.

At first, I forgot what it was as sometimes, eBay
sellers really do protect the goods when they do
send them by post.

But its not eBay this time, but from China. As soon
as I paid them, they sent this LED badge to me. And
this was delivered within 5 days. I could have gotten
it cheaper but I did not know about AliExpress. Not
only that, because I 'bought' a sample, they had to
charge me a 'sample' price. Unfortunately, I could
not let them 'sample' my money.

The LED badge is quite small and in specifically chose
this size for a reason. Anyway, this is what came in
the box; the Badge, the CD and the USB cable.

They used very strong magnets instead of safety
pins to attach it to your clothes. Let me show you...

Aw, crap. It was so strong, the metal piece came off
with one pull. Then again, the glue was not that strong
anyway. The instructions said to plug this to the USB
port for at least two hours (with the display off) to get
the batteries charged up for a 16 hour use.

I better not lose this cable as I am not sure if
I can replace the USB connector.

I chose the smallest display, which is 7 rows of LEDs
by 23 columns. Unfortunately, the sample was RED
LEDs although I wanted White. But it was all that
they had. As a sample, of course.

These SMD LEDs are very small, and are used
mostly for Mobile phones and other applications

What is so amazing is that they managed to cram
a Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery in there too.

Overall thickness (without the rubber coated casing)
was 7mm. I'm impressed!

There are four levels of brightness and different
types of scrolling and speed, all programmed by
the software. Unfortunately, the software does
not 'remember' your last setting so if you do not
want to erase your old text, do not overwrite it.
This version can hold up to three 152 character
text and 5 23-frame bitmap animation. The
software even came with a basic paint program
for you to make your own animation.

A lot of possibilities came to mind, especially
the Boba Fett chest display but it did not
work out the way I wanted it, though. So
I just created a new screen with tracing
paper. Of course you can do different
templates like LCARS but with RED
LEDs here, I was not enthusiastic.
Then of course, there was the idea
of using it for a Blade Runner Blimp

Anyway, this is how it looked like when I
finished. The tracing paper, in this case,
made the LEDs more pronounced and
well, better. To me, that is.

Its so easy to operate this with just three buttons.

Even Kaelynn got the hang of it after I showed
it to her for the first time.

The afternoon package arrived minutes before I came down to the reception. I wanted to get a few as test and they came in lots of 50. And do you know what it is?

It came in a normal padded envelope so this
means the item is very thin.

Yep. Its a set of LEDs from eBay, rectangular
2mm x 5mm x 7mm LEds to be exact.

One of them is orange and the other is white. I
had to use my Nokia 5800's flash to counter the
White LED's brightness (15000mcd) in order to
take this photo. Its amazing that the LED is so
bright even with 20mA current.
