As the ant climbed to the highest point in my head, where one of my hair sticking out, I flicked it away...
While flying, the Ant must be thinking, "WTF was that?"

The Trail of Damages in my Wake
Have you ever experienced the feeling where after you have entered a place and everyone there starts really want to tell you stuff. Stuff that happened on and after your Journey. And those stuff, which you know it was true because, you saw it AFTER it happened and it was about 100 metres away.
Being Uprooted
Case in point was the huge backlog of cars on my way back. There was a big tree which got uprooted by a freak storm and the road was wet. Earlier, I thought nothing of it since those big, thick bolts of lighting were striking away from my destination.

At first, I thought the Silver hatchback (arrow) was crushed

But it was OK as they could reverse the car out

Nearer to my destination, the Restaurant suffered the same. Even their sign board is crooked.
The Morning After
The funny thing was, it happened while I was away. Almost at the same time, my Wife who was at her School, saw that one of the roof was blown off and on her Journey passing Mid-Valley, she saw the Traffic Cones converging in the middle of the road. And me? I was driving to the Engineering Shop with nothing much exciting apart from the occasional mf who cut into my lane.
But during my Drive back, it was another matter because on my Left, there was thunder and lighting. Usually, these lightning bolts would just light up the sky for a brief instance but here, they lasted for nearly one second and the bolts looked strong.

This morning, the same silver hatchback was back again. I guess there is nothing serious, except maybe some cosmetic damage.

But hang on, the electrical box has been torn off. And when I passed by their main entrance, it was dark. I just hope that they switched everything off and not suffered any further damages.
20250922 PMX announces RON95 to be sold at RM1.99/L
Cheaper RON95?
Click on the Image for the News from www.thevibes.com
Come this end month, there would be some big changes to the Country in terms of Fuel Pricing under the Budi Madani RON95 (aka BUDI95) subsidy scheme. On the 30th September of 2025, we could be paying RM1.99 per litre while non-Citizens would be paying at RM2.60 per litre instead. The only conditions for this to happen would be that you need to present your MyKAD at the counter or at the pump prior to the re-filling and hope that you did not reach your individual monthly quota of 300 Litres.
So, please make sure your MyKAD chips are functional. I do have a MyKAD reader somewhere but after our Move, it's hard to find it back.
What does this all mean?
You can talk all about the Politics or the Conspiracies behind, or how PMX is to you for all I care. Those does not bring food to the table. To me, a reduction of 6 sen per litre means a lot. For a person who travels at least 100Km a day and needs to refill every four days, this is a huge difference. Then again, I am not that person anymore as my daily commute for the moment is never more than 21Km.
Let's do some calculations
Looking at the image below, my average fuel consumption is about 11.96 Km/L. (The number 11.95 was a mistake because the formula did not take into account of empty cells.)
With RM50, at the current RM2.05/L, I would have 24.39 litres in the tank and it would give me an average of 300Km. 4 years ago, I would reach the 450Km mark consistently but then again, I was using the Highway and on a 85Km, 3 hour commute. So, with the RM1.99/L, and for the same mount of RM50, I would have a total of 25.13L in the tank. Therefore, if my average fuel consumption is 11.96 Km/L, I would get an additional 8.79Km! Which is a lot and my refueling interval could be a tad longer.
The bad news is, if you're a non-Citizen or your MyKad is faulty or, the readers are on the blink, that's RM2.60 per litre for you. And coming back to my car's calculation, I would have lost close to 62Km for each re-fuel or 5 Litres, depending on which numbers you dislike to see.
I know it's silly to some but I had the bad habit of recording my car's mileage for no reason. And after that, the data is either lost (2020-2022) or jumbled.
My Kuey Teow Special
Q: How can an egg be so much more delicious?
A: When it is half-boiled.
Long ago, when I was just a small kid, I discovered that one half-boiled egg, when poured onto a crispy buttered toast can be quite satisfying. And if you do not have any toasts, just mixing it with some pepper and a touch of light soy sauce still tastes like Heaven.
Do not take lightly of this humble culinary instrument of yellow. The hot water will trickle until there is none and your eggs are either half-boiled or well, done. You won't have to worry about it and get on with your other tasks.
Q: How can you make that even more delicious?
A: By adding another half-boiled egg, you now have double deliciousness.
A few years ago, one of my Friends recommended me to add some half-boiled egg to a plate of curry rice. The result was quite good but I was a little scared since being half-boiled, some parts of the egg were actually still raw which, on a warm dish might be an issue. But that did not stop me because I wanted to try that on some Kuey Teow. Not the Chinese type but the Mamak version which is usually 'wet'.

See that some area of the half-boiled egg is raw. It is normal and since everything is hot, I quickly mixed the egg into the how Kuey Teow, eventually burying it.

This is how it looked. Its a little unpalatable and messy but man, does it taste good!

Since his Kuey Teow was so good, there was no need to add other stuff like chicken or other meat. Just the soft, slurpy Kuey Teow.
Mamak #2: The one at the bottom of Jalan Desa Jaya
This version is very different. After some requests, what I actually ordered was Kuey Teow Ayam with half-boiled eggs but since he kinda recognise me now, it is still my 'Kuey Teow Special'. His version is spicy, which I liked and also, comes with the occasional green chili and slices of semi-raw garlic. Unfortunately, his shop is next to the group of girls, which means I can only go during Puasa Time or, sneak in there without them noticing.

So, his version has more veggies, and the chicken.
