The before and after haircut

Before

After

What? You think I dare to go 'Botak' (bald) and still step into the house? The Home Minister will administer the Ministerial punishment to part of my body especially in areas where the Sun don't shine.

New rice cooker

We have a new rice cooker today.
I am not going to tell you where we got it since I can't remember.
It took us more than 45 minutes to figure out how to cook rice/congee/soup/roasted rabbits, etc as the menu is quite complicated.
After RTFM the FM, I F ditched the M and pressed 'Cook'
Voila! Rice cooked to perfection and it smelt so great. It even has a beeper to inform you that the rice is ready. Or maybe, it was swearing and the beeps were actually automatic censorships.

Bitch on the Road

Hey, you piece of fuck!

Yeah, you on the fucking Wira. Everyone is already on the second lane, trying not the block the traffic and hare you come. You and your fucking blue Wira. I know you have a kid in there and so this means you have the Goddam right to be a selfish cunt and all.

Normally, I would not care much about this since this has nothing to do with me. But since its so close to the anointed time, the fucking bitch in stead of becoming a dutiful parent has now become a fucking road obstacle. Why? Very simple.

The car on my left lane wants to come out. Since there is a gap in front of my car, I just let them pass. But yep, you guessed it. The old bitch on her Wira pretended there was nothing worth bothering except to get her kid. So much so, if there is an out of control lorry coming heading for her from behind, she would not even notice it. And so, this is how it started:

A simple toot from the Waja.
Nothing.

Another friendly toot.
Nothing.

So, the old geezer came out and knocked on her window only to be showered with hot air. I mean, even a deaf person would have understood what had happened from all their body languages. Stupid cunt shaking her head and gesturing with her hand, saying "What the fuck is your problem? I have a kid in there, motherfucker!"

So, the old geezer went back to his car. Obviously being a loser because you can see his head starting to droop. OK, maybe there is a chance because he did open the cunt's Wira door and shouted at her, before leaving the scene. Good thing he did not close the door because the bitch has to do it.

After a few seconds defending himself from the wife, who is the rightful Boss, came out again. You know she is the Boss because she was the DRIVER. This is the stage where she has turned into the End of Level challenge thing. But alas, stupid cunt stuck to her guns. This is one of those fucking annoying things bitch on the road do. They always move forward. Whatever it is, they move forward. The 'R' on the fucking stick is for reverse, not rape you stupid cunt.

And with the clock ticking and the fucking car now horning behind me, I really lost it. I mean, come on, the gate is opened and now, both of them are blocking the road. Luckily, the car on my right had the sense to move out. And also, the car behind decided not to move to close the gap because everyone has sensed what is going to happen.

Yep, me. Its show time.

I got out. Shouted some choice expletives and told her to reverse the car so that the Waja can move out. But all this stupid bitch with shit for brains decided to move forward 2 feet. Man, this is so stupid. So, I banged hard on her boot to get the message across. This is also the time where the End of Level session is about to finish, Boss or not Boss. And still, she moved forward. So, I fisted her bonnet again with one big thump. And still, she moved forward.

By now, thanks to her stupidity or fear of me, there is enough gap for the Waja to come out. And so, I got into my car and joined the queue. Funny thing was, I noticed the cars at the back of me were all feet apart. Oh, come on, I am just resolving the problem for the rest of you. Fucking idiots don't even have the balls to come out.

And no, its not over. Now, I am side to side with the bitch and she still wants to cut into my lane. And so, I pushed forward and edged her out. Seeing this, the other cars again, kept their distance.

I tell you, ha. When it comes to this, no one would have the balls to help each other. What a fucking load of balless shit.

One good thing? I got my temper back. It was never gone at all. I know this because right after the explosion, my head hurts and so were my lungs. OK, so does my throat but it feels so good to shout at that bitch. Too bad my hands are not satisfied though. You can say all you want as I am all for gender equality. This means, I have no qualm hitting a woman if it is really necessary, OK? You want to be treated equal, then accept the whole fucking package.

No, I purposely took the number away so that
I can buy the 4D for myself. I'll bet we'll meet
again next week.

1/32 Moebius Cylon Raider Part 10

Just got the board back today. This was the fastest job they have ever done. But because of my design, a lot of tracks were still un-etched. Which, I suspect that they used tracing paper instead of positive film. In order to do a positive film you have to take the image in negative and then turn it into a positive image. A process which takes a lot of time and costs more money. On the other hand, using a tracing paper is fast and cheap.

There is also a reason why they did not use FR4 boards (fibreglass). In fact, there are several reasons:

1. FR4 boards are very hard to cut to size.
2. You need expensive 0.8mm tungsten drill bits as FR4 boards can blunt a normal drill bit after drilling one and a half hole.
3. Tungsten drill bits needs hi-speed drills.
4. They are also fragile and if you are not careful when it snaps (usually unexpectedly), it becomes a flying splinter.

Unfortunately, out of the two boards, only one came out well. The other had many underdeveloped and broken tracks. But the one that is 'OK' needs worktoo as some of its tracks are also underdeveloped. I could get them done professionally but it costsRM54.00 each. For 1 inch x 0.5 inch, I don't think so.

Compared with the earlier revision, both of them are of the same size. What I did was to redesign the board to accept the bigger SOIC chip. I don't like it either but
I've had it with the SSOP chips and the stupid adaptor.

AMT Klingon Bird of Prey

It was a big surprise when I saw this on Sunday at the Amcorp Mall Bazaar. And the best part is that its only RM80.00. For the anal modeler, this is an old kit and with the new reissue from Round2, this kit can be considered as 'worthless'. The reason is that although the latest reissue Klingon Bird of Prey, this time by Round2, has new re-tooled parts. But to me, there is not much difference between that and this kit apart from:

1. The reissue is now molded in green plastic
2. The bottom hull has been redesigned to accept a landing bay complete with white metal landing gears. (going to be one heavy 'bird')
3. It also has a ramp, like the one you see in Star Trek III or IV
4. You can now position the wings for landing mode apart from normal cruising and attack modes. However, once you glue it into place, its permanent, just like the older version.
5. For some unknown reasons, there are 'words' printed on the upper hull.

Oh, and its in 1/350 scale which, will be a very popular choice because now you have a matching advesary model for your 1/350 scale Enterprise from Polar Lights!

However, in my current situation, with that Bird of Prey in my hands, I know that this is as good as it gets. Since I do not have the reissue model, I cannot compare it. Then again, I am not going to as this post is to explain why I got it. But you can go to Bruce's Domain for the comparison. His site has more pictures of the new reissue model and if you are really into details, reference pictures of the Studio Model as well.

I did a Bird of Prey model before, when I was in UK. Then I did another one, or rather, was halfway through it (I was in the drilling-holes-for-lighting-up-the-windows-stage). The next thing I know was, I got married and the model became part of the casualty in the termite attack. Sadly, most of the vital pieces were gone when I revisited the model which was covered in termite gunk.

This model came out during the 'acrylic stand' series where you stuff your model onto a clear piece of acrylic to give it a false illusion of flying. At that time, the idea sound good. When it comes to 'free' items, model kit manufacturers usually give you the standard 'paint & brush' package. But AMT took a step further by giving you some better packages such as 'sound & lights', fibre-optics pack with a motorized drill, unique posters and even yes, acrylic stands. Of course, with each new 'introduction' you'd want to buy more of the same model. Heh.

The box was quite beaten up and it looked as if
someone really did a number on it. Let's just hope
everything inside is intact...

Upon opening, I am quite happy that the main package
is intact. Everything is there but looking at the dark
area of the box, it think it suffered water damage.

OK, this is the part I am interested in right now,
which is the 'head' or command centre of the
Klingon Bird of Prey.

And just to make that happen, you need remove the
5 pieces from the plastic sprues.

Here is another part which I am interested in.
But I am not going to say much about it as the
idea is still in its infancy. But there is a clue
for you: Red and Green.

Here is another area that I am going to look
into once the first phase is done. However, it
will be a very expensive venture and some
one has already done it.

For those who knows me, you are correct in guessing what my plans are for this model. For those who do not, sorry. I'll let you know at a later date.

My Friend is back

Yay! He's back and now, we can go flashing together again!

Wang Wang Biscuits

KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry has ordered the Taro brand biscuit produced by Bairong to be withdrawn from the market with immediate effect after an analysis found it contained melamine above the permissible level.

Funny Glock Gun Hoax

The image below was taken from The Gun Zone site. The image is actually of a flyer distributed in a town called Richmond which everyone thought it was the real deal. So much so that the Officials were upset with it.

The flyer is selling a new type of sights for a certain Glock guns.

This is the hoax flyer. You might want
to click on it to see what its all about.

Still don't get it?

Engineer Jokes

This is a list of Engineer jokes taken from A Moral Compass. Some of them are quite original to me, that is.

Take One

Two engineering students were walking across a university campus when one said, “Where did you get such a great bike?” The second engineer replied, “Well, I was walking along yesterday, minding my own business, when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike, threw it to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, “Take what you want. ”The second engineer nodded approvingly and said, “Good call ; the clothes probably wouldn’t have fit you anyway.”

Take Two

To the optimist, the glass is half full.To the pessimist, the glass is half empty. To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Take Three

A priest, a doctor and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers. The engineer fumed, “What’s with those guys? We must have been waiting for fifteen minutes!” The doctor chimed in, “I don’t know, but I’ve never seen such inept golf!”
The priest said, “Here comes the greens keeper. Let’s have a word with him.” He said, “Hello, George! What’s wrong with that group ahead of us? They’re rather slow, aren’t they?”
The greens keeper replied, “Oh, yes. That’s a group of blind firefighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime.”
The group fell silent for a moment. The priest said, “That’s so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight.” The doctor said,“Good idea. I’m going to contact my ophthalmologist colleague to see if there’s anything he can do for them”. The engineer said, “Why can’t they play at night?”

Take Four

What is the difference between mechanical engineers and civil engineers?
Mechanical engineers build weapons. Civil engineers build targets.

Take Five

The graduate with a science degree asks, “Why does it work?”The graduate with an engineering degree asks, “How does it work?”The graduate with a business degree asks, “How much will it cost?”The graduate with a liberal arts degree asks, “Do you want fries with that?”

Take Six

Normal people believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet.

Take Seven

An engineer was crossing a road one day, when a frog called out to himand said,” If you kiss me, I’ll turn into a beautiful princess.” He bent over, picked up the frog and put it in his pocket.
The frog spoke up again and said, “If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will stay with you for one week.” The engineer took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and returned it to the pocket.
The frog then cried out, “If you kiss me and turn me back into a Princess, I’ll stay with you for one week and do ANYTHING you want.”Again, the engineer took the frog out, smiled at it, and put it back into his pocket.
Finally, the frog asked, “What is the matter? I’ve told you I’m a beautiful princess and that I’ll stay with you for one week and do anything you want. Why won’t you kiss me?” The engineer said, “Look,I’m an engineer. I don’t have time for a girlfriend, but a talking frog, now that’s cool.”

The Dummy CCTV

I got this 'thing' while I was in Pasar Road in the morning. This is one of those dummy CCTV cameras which, as far as I am concerned, a cross between a novelty toy and well, a joke. So, in my own snobbish way, I completely ignore this abomination to the point, if it was just in front of me, I would not even notice it.

Then it all changed when I was discussing with rayloke of ICW. He is quite imaginative when it comes to securing resources and creating solutions to an otherwise complex and wall-banging problems. And so, for my project, the dummy CCTV was the only solution. Its cheap, salvageable and also fits my requirement.

After searching for more than a year,
I have found it. The good news is that
it costs half the price on what rayloke
told me last year.

Opening the box, these are the contents to the
dummy. You need a screwdriver to mount the
dummy to the stand. Whether its a tongue in
cheek or as a serious thought, the manufacturer
also supplied some screws and wall mounts in
case you really need to install it onto a wall....

Gently is the word when you unscrew the screw
to mount the dummy. As this is a MIC product,
you know that the plastic is brittle to the point
of cracking. See the small black part through
the slots? This is the 'magic' part which made
the whole thing move.

The dummy takes three AA batteries and I broke the
screw mounts under the battery
case here. But not to
worry as I don't need
them for my project.

Oh, for my dummy, the neck joint
between the base and the mount
is very weak even though it has a
clickable joint. With the weight of
the batteries, any slight bump will
make the dummy droop.

OK, once I switched it on, the camera will
start to swing at about 45º. I think if I do
enlarge the black disc, it might even swing
more. What is so clever about this is that
it has a light sensor located opposite the
red LED. As soon as it sense a change in
the lighting, it will start to move for a few
seconds before stopping.
(Actually, it detects light and not motion)

OK, fun's over. Now, lets open it up.
Remember the thick white 'wire' that comes out from the dummy and disappears into the stand? Well, fret not because that wire is a dummy too. Look closely at the photo below and at the bottom left of the picture, you will see how that wire was terminated. Anyway, the picture below is what you will see once you remove that fragile wobbly battery holder. After looking at it, I think its better that I do not do tinker much in this area. Not because I am afraid of screwing it up, but just look at the two plastic pillars in the middle of the picture. They are the ones holding hte battery compartment earlier, and have cracked when I screwed it back, even with the smallest amount of pressure. So, If I were to touch it even further, its going to be in pieces. Also, look at the bottm right of the picture, which houses a small little circuit board. This is the brains of the whole dummy.

As soon as it sense the change in the light dependent resistor (top left), it will start the motor and also blink the red LED (top right) for a few seconds. The problem is how to turn this to an advantage when you place the thing in a bright room?

At the bottom of the box, you can see a
set of holes, which is meant for a speaker.
Maybe there was another model which'll
talk or make beeping sounds... now, that
would really make it corny.

Already, I have ideas for the 'lens'

And this is the light dependent resistor sensor,
which for my project, will be relocated to another
place.

So, this is a wonderful surprise for me and I am ready to implement this for my project. It will be very exciting and unique indeed. That is, once I have the time or opportunity to do this. Until then, its going to the 'to-do' shelf...

1/32 Moebius Cylon Raider Part 9

The package arrived to the house today, and as soon as the postmen delivered it, I quickly took it and opened the envelope. It was a bit risky redirecting the delivery back to the house because if the postman delivered it when no one was at home, this would mean going all the way to the post office to collect it and usually, it is the day after. So, for a person who is impatient, this is a hassle.

And so, the package arrived just after 16 days,
which is quite fast since its from Hong Kong.

Ooookaaayyy..... cling wrap and tiny sponge inside
a bubble wrap envelope. Very nice. Sheesh.

And the SSOP chip still does not fit!
WTF. Oh, Come On!

And so, this is very disappointing. I am now left with 20 SMD chips which cannot be fit into either adaptors, and even if they do, I still have to make another adaptor for the adaptor. Why? Its because these damn chips are 20 pins as the manufacturer added two extra pins and if I plug this straight to the programmer, I am going to end up with useless chips. So, I am not going to spend anymore money on these. I have no choice but to shelf it away until there is a more suitable time for me to look into ICSP (In-circuit Serial Programming) properly. Moreover, because its so small, soldering is going to be a problem too. Sigh. Wasted a lot of time and money for this.

And due to time constraints, I could not meet up with my friend for him to get the boards cut into shape. I can cut them but because of the odd shape and the board being fragile (as in brittle-ly fragile) , one wrong move will result in them crackling or breaking into two. Sigh. More time wasted. I think the rest of the International community have theirs done by now.

The Condom

I got this from a site called: http://amoralcompass.blogspot.com

I recall my first time with a condom, I was 16 or so. I went in to buy a packet of condoms at the pharmacy. There was this beautiful woman assistant behind the counter, and she could see that I was new at it. She handed me the package and asked if I knew how to wear one. I honestly answered, 'No, this is my first time.' So she unwrapped the package, took one out and slipped it over her thumb. She cautioned me to make sure it was on tight and secure. I apparently still looked confused. So she looked all around the store to see if it was empty. It was empty. 'Just a minute,' she said, and walked to the door, and locked it. Taking my hand, she led me into the back room, unbuttoned her blouse and removed it. She unhooked her bra and laid it aside. 'Do these excite you?' She asked. Well, I was so dumb -struck that all I could do was nod my head. She then said it was time to slip the condom on. As I was slipping it on, she dropped her skirt, removed her panties and lay down on a desk. 'Well, come on', she said, 'We don't have much time.' So I climbed on her. It was so wonderful, that unfortunately, I could no longer hold back and KAPOW, I was done within a few minutes. She looked at me with a bit of a frown. 'Did you put that condom on?', she asked. I said, 'I sure did,' and held up my thumb to show her.

She fainted...

Sleeping through homework

1/32 Moebius Cylon Raider Part 8

Got the boards back this afternoon and I am not so happy with the results. After waiting for more than a week, what I got was not what I imagined. Originally, I paid for two boards but they gave me four instead.

But, you ask, why am I so pissed? This is because out of the four boards, two were etched wrongly because they did not know which was the correct side. Then again, this is both our fault since I did not tell them, assuming they know how to read my file. After the phone call, they did another two for me, which are the correct ones. However, out of the two, only one was drilled because the remaining one had broken tracks. Sigh.

So, the only consolation was they charged me for only one board. Now, I have to get them to a friend of mine who has the proper power tools and files to get the board into shape.

This is what I get after waiting for more than a
week. I am so disheartened by this almost to the
point of wanting to give up. I have spend quite a
bit on them already and I do not see any positive
result from this. Sigh.

Swimming

NERFing

Thanks to Facebook, I have started to be a little bit more active especially on the NERF and Modeling Groups. Not that I joined because of interest but more of like trying to see if there is any potential business opportunities to be had from these groups.

Anyway, these two are the only NERFs I have at this location while the rest are in storage elsewhere. I have yet to modify the Barricade to accept the N-Strike clips and drums. But to be honest, I am not sure how to begin and not only that, with my Mom's condition as it is, I really do not have the mood. Still, all I have now is the push to get there but not the destination.

Maybe I should just modify some NERFs and then sell them...

The Longstrike (top) and the Barricade (bottom)

Ice Creams and Fish Crackers

While we're having ice-creams, I decided to go back to my old habit of mixing food.
Hey, its quite delicious! But maybe Coffee Flavour would be better.

Caring for Fishies

More often than not, when a child gets a pet, the story ends there. There is nothing else to say except that the child got a pet. They will cuddle it, love it to bits and be the happiest child in the whole household.

There. End of story.

No?

OK, here's the real situation. Once the kid gets the pet, it is every parent's dread because they know that at the end of the day, they would be the ones taking care of the pet which is conveniently 'forgotten' by the child. Because to a child, the pet itself if for cuddling and feeding bits of unauthorised food guaranteed to give you, the parent, a huge veterinary bill and a nice little headache at the end of the day.

So, I am not going into that. Instead, I make sure that they know how to clean the fish tanks without the fish dying.
But sadly, after a few tries, its back to me again.

Reliving my memories

Since last week, I wanted to meet up with Bruce so that he can help me shift some boxes in the Project room. I needed his help as my Wife, who was the other available driver on standby and so, she cannot leave the house. When we met, I realised that I have forgotten the keys to my Project room and so, it was a trip wasted.

Fast forward nearly a week later, I am back again, but this time, by myself since it not nice to call Bruce again. There is a reason why I need to go to the Project Room as I needed to find some things which is needed urgently. After searching all the boxes, I realised they are not there. And so, for the rest of the night, I just took some pictures of the stuff which I bought years ago and they survived the termite attack.

The Playstation still works but now, because of the
mysterious crack at the lid, I need to stack a few CDs
to keep it closed. Although I have the
Loctor's in the
other place, this was mine and
I have modified it
with clear blue casing and
also a white power LED.
And yeah, I still suck at
games, though.

I got this from Kenny when he was with
Miniature Hobbies in 1-Utama. This was
a real beauty. Until now, I still do not have
an airbrush and the confidence to paint her.

This is the helicopter pilot from the MacFarlane Toys.
This is the 'white' version and personally, if you look at
his face, its either a woman or Michael Jackson with a
lot of makeup.

Last year, I was searching for this high and low. I
know I bought it from Macy (which is now 'out of
stock') But I keep forgetting this is a rectangle and
not a square. But its definitely going to be worked
on the 1/35 Hasegawa Nutcracker.

The badminton handle wrap which I
was planning to use as on a lightsaber
handle. Luckily, now I know that PU
or PVC does not last forever. They
break down in a matter of years.

This was done by my friend, Tan Kit Hoong using dry
pastels. He did it for me during our time in 1-Utama
where Kenny had REAL group builds in the Miniature
Hobby shop.

Ah, the bootleg NERF Maverick which I
got in JayaJusco Kepong. Years after I
got the chance to compare it with the
real deal, it was exactly alike in terms
of looks and quality. You'd think they
took the real Maverick and stuffed it
into the blister pack.
